E oltre alla cordialità e all'ottimo servizio ricevuto, sono rimasto estasiato dalla squisitezza della pastiera, delle chiacchiere, delle danesi alle mandorle e alla crema chantilly. Che dire, le papille gustative esultanti, ringraziano per tanta bontà.
This morning, at the invitation of my dear friend Ciro, I had the pleasure to sample some of the delicacies prepared by this assortitissima pastry. And in addition to the friendliness and excellent service received, I was amazed by the delicacy of pastiera, the gossip, the Danish with almonds and whipped cream. Entriamo, nel Gran Caffè Romano, inebriati dai profumi, dall'accoglienza dei Fratelli Romano e dallo Staff pronti a deliziarci il palato con raffinatezze indimenticabili.
Tappa oramai obbligatoria in Irpina, dopo la Collegiata di San Michele Arc. e il Santuario di Montevergine, è l'antica tradizione dolciaria Solofrana e della Concia delle Pelli, quest'ultima sempre più ad impatto zero. A Solofra sono presenti importanti scuole dolciarie, antiche pasticcerie tramandate da padre in figlio, affermate tanto a livello nazionale quanto all'estero.
Proprio qui all'interno del Gran Caffè Romano nasce il pluripremiato Panettone Pantehon, punta di diamante della tradizione dolciaria dei Fratelli Romano.

Now obligatory stop in Irpina, after the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arc. and the Sanctuary of Montevergine, is the ancient confectionery tradition of Solofrana and of the Concia delle Pelli, the latter increasingly with zero impact. In Solofra there are important confectionery schools, ancient pastry shops handed down from father to son, established both nationally and abroad.
It is here inside the Gran Caffè Romano that the award-winning Panettone Pantehon is born, the spearhead of the Romano Brothers' confectionery tradition.
