Very nice cafe in the center of Mondragone. Clean, friendly staff. Good buffet for the aperitif. Outdoor tables with service. Prices in the norm.

Per quanto io non abbia da lamentarmi della qualità di questo bar, non posso dire lo stesso del servizio che mi è stato offerto. Nello specifico, in tutte le occasioni in cui sono stato al Gran Caffè Marona, una cameriera (guarda caso sempre la stessa) si è rivelata essere poco professionale. Da quel che ho potuto capire, anche altri clienti, sicuramente non di passaggio, si sono lamentati dello stesso problema. Tant'è che ho sentito alcune ragazze chiamarla addirittura per nome, visto che dovrebbe trattarsi di una certa Anna, una cameriera con i capelli ricci. I tempi di attesa per un aperitivo sono stati lunghissimi, ben 40 minuti di attesa, in cui alla fine mi sono state servite delle pizzette roventi e un caffè nella norma. In conclusione, se sono di passaggio e vedo che c'è lei evito sempre di fermarmi, in quanto in zona ci sono tanti altri bar con personale più qualificato, di conseguenza non posso fare altro che sconsigliare questo posto.
I have been able to visit the aforementioned bar on more than one occasion, and alas all the times I have had problems. While I have no complaints about the quality of this bar, I can't say the same about the service I was offered. Specifically, on all the occasions I've been to Gran Caffè Marona, a waitress (coincidentally always the same) turned out to be unprofessional. From what I could understand, other customers, certainly not passing through, also complained about the same problem. So much so that I have heard some girls even call her by name, since it should be a certain Anna, a waitress with curly hair. The waiting times for an aperitif were very long, 40 minutes of waiting, in which at the end I was served hot pizzas and a normal coffee. In conclusion, if I am passing through and I see that she is there I always avoid stopping, as in the area there are many other bars with more qualified staff, consequently I can not help but advise against this place.
