Le 3 ore insieme sono volate, io ho visto la mia Genova con occhi diversi, chi non la conosceva ne ha avuto una bellissima impressione. La nostra guida Sandra Mazzucato ci ha introdotto nel mondo di Monet e soprattutto nel periodo a cui è dedicata la mostra, in modo piacevole, arricchendo le spiegazioni quadro per quadro anche con curiosità e aneddoti e fornendoci le basi per comprendere l'Impressionismo e il percorso dell'artista. Yesterday I saw the exhibition in the Doge's Palace "Monet, the free color", with a guided tour and I must say that it was a choice really right, an added value that I recommend to everyone. La visita si è trasformata ben presto in un'avventura, un racconto, un'immedesimazione nei personaggi di Ernesto, Cesco e Cielo, protagonisti del libro di Michele Mozzati. Con i loro occhi abbiamo visto Genova nell'800, le trasformazioni della nostra città tra cotone, velieri, colori, armatori, cioccolato, intense passioni, botteghe storiche, denim e jeans. I wanted to visit it by participating in Sandra's Tour with friends. The visit soon turned into an adventure, a story, an identification with the characters of Ernesto, Cesco and Cielo, protagonists of Michele Mozzati's book. Siamo partiti da Palazzo San Giorgio e da ciò che ha rappresentato nel passato di Genova; ci ha raccontato la figura di Raffaele Rubattino e la caratteristica storica dei portici di Sottoripa fino ad arrivare al porto, com’era e come è oggi. Il tragitto alla Lanterna è stato fatto con un bus turistico di CitySightseeing che ci ha permesso di vedere Via Gramsci con tutte le peculiarità dei suoi palazzi storici. Superati i 172 gradini che portano alla terrazza della Lanterna si ha una visione a 360° della città e delle sue riviere che apre il cuore anche a chi Genova la ama da sempre? The journey to the Lanterna was made with a CitySightseeing tourist bus which allowed us to see Via Gramsci with all the peculiarities of its historic buildings. After passing the 172 steps that lead to the Lanterna terrace, you have a 360 ° view of the city and its rivieras that opens the heart even to those who have always loved Genoa?

She took us everywhere we wanted to go and so much more including giving us more of a unique local experience as well as the tourist experience. Sandra went above and beyond throughout the entire tour including at the end where she took us all the way to the Cruise ship which wasn’t apart of the original agreement. She made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire tour and made the tour extremely enjoyable with her friendly and warm character. We diffinately will be back with the family. She arranged for us to have a lovely lunch in Portofino which was very special. She is very professional and has excellent follow up. She provided transportation from the to and from the cruise port. Everything was perfect. We had a special day. We felt like we made a new friend.
