Ampliato a suon di soldoni in occasione del G8 aquilano post sisma, nel 2009, non è mai stato utilizzato. Inutile sperpero di fondi pubblici, è servito solo per creare una strada, collegamento tra "il viale delle fiamme gialle" ed il "rettilineo di Preturo", usata da pochissime persone. I didn't even think it was shown here on Maps, honestly! Is there anything in the world more useless than this "airport"? Expanded to the sound of a nutshell at the G8 L'Aquila after the earthquake in 2009, it has never been used. Needless squandering of public funds, has only served to create a road link between "the avenue of yellow flames" and "straight Preturo" used by very few people.

In poco più di un'ora di volo si arrivava in questo bell'aeroporto circondato dalle montagne. Esperienza formativa. The good times that you could land there with the aircraft of the Aeroclub of Naples. In just over an hour of flight you arrived at this beautiful airport surrounded by mountains. Educational experience.
G	Giuliano Rescaldani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tentativi di renderlo un aeroporto inutile, come tanti di altre cittadine di provincia, sono miseramente falliti e l'Aeroporto è rimasto un ottimo aeroporto per l'Aviazione Generale. Personale gentilissimo, tasse ragionevoli, tutti i carburanti disponibili a prezzi accettabili. C'è anche un ristorantino di buona qualità e, almeno nei giorni feriali, si può raggiungere la città con economici bus di linea che fermano poco distante. Attempts to make it a useless airport, like so many other provincial towns, have failed miserably and the airport has remained an excellent airport for General Aviation. Very kind staff, reasonable taxes, all fuels available at acceptable prices. There is also a good quality restaurant and, at least on weekdays, you can reach the city with cheap buses that stop nearby.
