A	Alessandro Milesi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il parco è allo stato bravo, sono mantenuti giusto i sentieri per girararlo, ma la vera padrona è la natura, coi suoi tempi ed i suoi colori. La casa del vecchio custode il cui ingresso è nascosto all'interno di un muro è totalmente logora e degradata, sarebbe bello venisse un poco recuperata con magari alcune vecchie foto d'epoca, molti sentieri sono con ciglio indifeso ma bastano semplici attenzioni per girare tutto il parco in sicurezza. Bello il sentiero delle cave, peccato cha ad un certo punto non sia più praticabile obbligando le persone a tornare sui propri passi per poter raggiungere la chiesetta soprastante. Bellissimo il paesaggio che si può ammirare da molti punti panoramici. Unico neo il parcheggio inesistente va "inventato" o bisogna parcheggiare distanti e poi aggiungere un pezzo alla camminata. Resta comunque una bellissima gita a costo zero sul nostro bellissimo lago. Ps non adatto a persone disabili o a famiglie con bambini molto piccoli. Scordatevi passeggini o carrozzine. The park is in good condition, the right paths are maintained to turn it around, but the real owner is nature, with its times and its colors. The house of the old caretaker whose entrance is hidden inside a wall is totally worn out and degraded, it would be nice if it were a little recovered with maybe some old vintage photos, many paths are with defenseless edges but simple attentions are enough to turn everything around the park safely. The path of the quarries is beautiful, it is a pity that at a certain point it is no longer practicable forcing people to retrace their steps in order to reach the church above. The landscape that can be admired from many vantage points is beautiful. The only drawback the non-existent parking must be "invented" or you have to park far away and then add a piece to the walk. However, it remains a beautiful trip at no cost on our beautiful lake. Ps not suitable for disabled people or families with very young children. Forget strollers or baby carriages.
R	Romina Cristina Bottanelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cinque stelle per questo luogo di pace e serenità con vista mozzafiato sull'intero lago di Como. Si raggiunge la località Dongo facilmente in auto e lì si parcheggia. Poi bisogna recarsi all'imbocco della galleria che conduce a Musso, percorrendo la passeggiata lungo lago. Sulla sinistra della galleria la camminata prosegue brevemente e si raggiunge il cancello d'entrata. (Noi siamo stati fortunati e abbiamo trovato parcheggio direttamente davanti al cancello dell'ingresso principale del giardino, che è sempre aperto 24 ore su 24 e visitabile in ogni periodo dell'anno con ingresso gratuito). Una volta entrati il parco si snoda in diversi e numerosi sentieri dove si possono ammirare vari tipi di vegetazione tipicamente mediterranea. Basta imboccarne uno qualsiasi per raggiungere facilmente e in breve tempo la bellissima chiesetta di Sant'Eufemia dove si godrà della splendida vista lago dall'alto. Il giardino è lasciato al naturale, non ci sono percorsi segnalati ma consiglio di girarlo il più possibile in lungo e in largo per scoprire i vari scenari e scorci panoramici da ogni angolazione. Incontrerete vari archi, passerelle, gallerie e grotte, tra cui la famosa "porta segreta" che conduce all'interno della casa nella pietra, ben mimetizzata nella vegetazione ma di facile accesso a tutti. La leggenda racconta che la casa nella pietra fu costruita a metà dell'Ottocento dal proprietario Giovanni Manzi, per il custode del Giardino del Merlo. Un luogo davvero meraviglioso anche se apparentemente abbandonato. I vari sentieri e percorsi sono a tratti un pò impervi ma non pericolosi. Consiglio comunque calzature adeguate. Se visitato in primavera il canto dei merli accompagnerà i visitatori durante questa gita all'insegna del relax e della meditazione. È interamente percorribile in un paio d'ore ma la sosta dall'alto della chiesina panoramica merita una nota di riguardo, abbandonate gli orologi e prendetevi tutto il tempo per un pick nick e delle foto ricordo di questo piccolo meraviglioso gioiello del Lario. Consigliatissimo. Five stars for this place of peace and serenity with a breathtaking view of the entire lake of Como. Dongo can be reached easily by car and parked there. Then you have to go to the entrance of the tunnel that leads to Musso, along the lakeside promenade. On the left of the tunnel the walk continues briefly and you reach the entrance gate. (We were lucky and found parking directly in front of the gate of the main entrance to the garden, which is always open 24 hours a day and can be visited all year round with free admission). Once you enter the park, it winds through several and numerous paths where you can admire various types of typically Mediterranean vegetation. Just take any one to easily and quickly reach the beautiful church of Sant'Eufemia where you will enjoy the splendid lake view from above. The garden is left natural, there are no marked paths but I recommend turning it as far and wide as possible to discover the various scenarios and panoramic views from every angle. You will encounter various arches, walkways, tunnels and caves, including the famous "secret door" that leads inside the stone house, well camouflaged in the vegetation but easy to access for all. Legend has it that the stone house was built in the mid-nineteenth century by the owner Giovanni Manzi, for the keeper of the Giardino del Merlo. A truly wonderful place even if apparently abandoned. The various paths and routes are at times a little rough but not dangerous. However, I recommend adequate footwear. If visited in spring, the song of the blackbirds will accompany visitors during this trip dedicated to relaxation and meditation. It is entirely accessible in a couple of hours but the stop from the top of the panoramic church deserves a special note, leave your watches behind and take your time for a pick nick and some souvenir photos of this wonderful little jewel of the Lario. Highly recommended.
