Época de ouro onde vivi o glamour da moda, o requinte da alta costura! As passarelas era um mundo extremamente importante e sério, diferente do que se observa atualmente. Havia liberdade e respeito, aliados à responsabilidade com os inescapáveis desfiles e campanhas do mundo da moda. Gianfranco Ferré teve a sua primeira coleção masculina feita em 1982, seguida, em 1986, da sua primeira colecção de alta-costura, em Roma.
Ferré tornou-se director estilístico da Christian Dior em Paris, em 1989. Ele repartiu a sua agenda, sendo responsável por uma marca francesa de topo e pela sua própria etiqueta italiana, viajando constantemente entre Milão e Paris. Efetivamente, ele foi um dos maiores ícones da moda no mundo!
