★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Romana is one of those places where you'll find more locals than tourists. And this should tell you how good their ice-cream is. Specifically, La Romana in Bellariva is quite far from famous restaurants or even hotels. Therefore, you come here if you know it exists. The quality of their ice-cream is extra-ordinary. I don't even remember the first ice-cream I've had here that little I was. When you take the waffle, you can put chocolate in it, before having the ice-creaming put on it. I generally go for pistachio and then change the second flavour: bacio di dama, hazelnut or cookie crumbles are my favourite. I do recommend keeping an eye on the flavour of the month!
