Sono di Luigi Spazzapan e arricchiscono le collezioni già presenti alla Galleria Regionale d'Arte contemporanea dedicata al grande artista di Gradisca d’Isonzo. I dipinti che fanno parte del fondo "Milva Biolcati - Maurizio Corgnati”, donato da Martina Corgnati, storica dell’arte e figlia della grande cantante e attrice teatrale di Goro e del noto regista, documentarista e scrittore di Torino.
Si tratta di Pesci sul tavolo (1932), La camicia bianca (1935 c.), Deposizione (con angelo) (1945), Cosma e Damiano benedicenti (1951), Santone (evangelista) (1955-56), opere che rappresentano in modo significativo gran parte del percorso artistico e di ricerca di Luigi Spazzapan, il quale, dopo il periodo di attività svolta nell'Isontino dal 1928, si trasferì a Torino rimanendovi per tutta la vita.
E il tutto è l'esito di un dono: della figlia di Milva, Martina Corgnati.
Come ha avuto modo di raccontare Milva non ha potuto conoscere Luigi Spazzapan, visto che alla morte dell’artista, nel febbraio del 1958, lei aveva solo diciott’anni e non era ancora arrivata a Torino. La sua pittura, però, le era nota e dominò la sua casa per cinquant’anni, senza essere mai una volta spostati, prestati o messi in dubbio. Il Santone blu in sala, i Pesci sul tavolo da pranzo, la Deposizione sulla testata del suo letto.

Five new special works have arrived at the Gallery. We went to see them. They are by Luigi Spazzapan and enrich the collections already present in the Regional Gallery of Contemporary Art dedicated to the great artist from Gradisca d’Isonzo. The paintings that are part of the "Milva Biolcati - Maurizio Corgnati" collection, donated by Martina Corgnati, art historian and daughter of the great singer and theater actress from Goro and the well-known director, documentary maker and writer from Turin.
These are Pisces on the table (1932), The white shirt (1935 c.), Deposition (with angel) (1945), Cosma and Damiano benedicenti (1951), Santone (evangelista) (1955-56), works that represent in significantly a large part of the artistic and research path of Luigi Spazzapan, who, after the period of activity carried out in the Isonzo area from 1928, moved to Turin and remained there for his entire life.
And everything is the result of a gift: from Milva's daughter, Martina Corgnati.
As Milva had the opportunity to tell, she was unable to meet Luigi Spazzapan, given that when the artist died in February 1958, she was only eighteen and had not yet arrived in Turin. However, her painting was known to her and dominated her home for fifty years, without ever being moved, loaned or questioned.
