La GAM custodisce la selezione pubblica più ricca di opere en-plein-air appartenenti alla Scuola dei Grigi , che operò in Liguria tra il 1860 e il 1880, con opere di Luxoro, D'Andrade e Rayper. Pregevoli, nel settore del Divisionismo, le tele di Rubaldo Merello e di Plinio Nomellini. Lo scultore Giulio Monteverde, attivo a Roma, è rappresentato da 50 opere. Suggestiva la terracotta a grandezza naturale, di Arturo Martini, intitolata "La Convalescente". La GAM è visitabile con un biglietto cumulativo che consente l'ingresso anche alla Wolfoniana e alla Raccolta Frugone.
The GAM holds the richest public selection of en-plein-air works belonging to the Scuola dei Grigi, which operated in Liguria between 1860 and 1880, with works by Luxoro, D'Andrade and Rayper. In the sector of Divisionism, the paintings by Rubaldo Merello and Plinio Nomellini are valuable. The sculptor Giulio Monteverde, active in Rome, is represented by 50 works. The life-size terracotta by Arturo Martini entitled "La Convalescente" is suggestive. The GAM can be visited with a cumulative ticket that also allows entry to the Wolfoniana and the Frugone Collection.

A beautiful and interesting collection. Deserves to be have more visitors. Not too big, could be enjoyed over about one hour. Staff are also helpful and friendly.
