The tour was conducted by a very nice and dedicated lady. Historical backgrounds were illuminated and the current manufacturing processes explained. Finally, a stylish tasting.

Il frate era malato da tempo e, sentendo vicina la sua fine, volle lasciare a don Salvatore, in segno di riconoscenza, un'antica pergamena nella quale c'era la ricetta di una bevanda, fatta di erbe siciliane, che i cappuccini del convento nisseno erano soliti preparare come rimedio per le febbri malariche, il catarro intestinale e i disturbi della digestione.
One night in the mid-nineteenth century, Brother Girolamo of the Capuchin Order of Caltanissetta urgently called Don Salvatore Averna, a wealthy textile merchant, owner of a large shop with eight windows in the center of Caltanissetta, to his bedside. The friar had been ill for some time and, feeling his end near, he wanted to leave Don Salvatore, as a sign of gratitude, an ancient parchment in which there was the recipe for a drink, made of Sicilian herbs, which the Capuchins of the convent Nyssenus were used to prepare as a remedy for malarial fevers, intestinal catarrh and digestive disorders.

Visited thanks to the festival "la Via dei Tesori" the establishment is a gem. Accompanied by a lady, an employee of the company, she was very kind and nice, she explained the history of the company and showed us both the museum and part of the production departments.
