Inaugurato nel 1896 come ippodromo (al tempo la destinazione calcistica non esisteva), fu inaugurato all'uso calcistico nel 1919: storicamente ospita gli incontri interni del Mestre.
Ha ospitato inoltre per quattro stagioni il Venezia-Mestre, alcune partite del club femminile Venezia 1984 ed eventi non sportivi quali concerti e spettacoli.
Sports facility in the Italian city of Venice, located in a suggestive area of Mestre.
Inaugurated in 1896 as a hippodrome (at the time the football destination did not exist), it was inaugurated for football use in 1919: historically it hosts the internal meetings of Mestre.
It also hosted the Venezia-Mestre for four seasons, some matches of the Venezia 1984 women's club and non-sporting events such as concerts and shows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here back in 1996 to see a qualifier for the European Championship, between Italy and Portugal. The arena was as far as I can remember at the time rather worn and out of fashion. Sadly as far as I can see from posted photos here it does not seem to be very different today. Very little seems to have been done these past 25 years when it comes to upgrading.
