La stessa è di medie dimensioni rispetto ad altre dei paesi limitrofi ed è lo snodo centrale per lo scambio tra le FSE e Trenitalia, dotata di sottopasso per evitare l'attraversamento dei binari. I principali collegamenti locali, sono con Brindisi, Taranto, Lecce e Martina Franca. La toilette è aperta di giorno e l'ambiente è generalmente abbastanza pulito anche se sui binari, si nota la presenza di molti rifiuti e cicche di sigarette un po' ovunque. Nota dolente, in giro ci sono pochissimi cestini portarifiuti.
The Francavilla Fontana station, not far from the municipal villa, is located in the heart of the town and is easily accessible. It is of medium size compared to others in neighboring countries and is the central hub for the exchange between the FSE and Trenitalia, equipped with an underpass to avoid crossing the tracks. The main local connections are with Brindisi, Taranto, Lecce and Martina Franca. The toilet is open during the day and the environment is generally quite clean even if on the tracks, there is a lot of waste and cigarette butts everywhere. Sore point, there are very few litter bins around.
