Lovely place and view ... but it should be enhanced. To get there, the road is very winding and run down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peccato per il degrado che regna sovrano e la chiusura perenne, tranne che in rare giornate. Le uniche stelle sono per il benvenuto che da la colonia felina a chi si avventura inutilmente.
Too bad for the degradation that reigns supreme and the perennial closure, except in rare days. The only stars are for the welcome that gives the feline colony to those who venture in vain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un sito che si ha interesse a rivalutato. Costruito per difendere il neonato regno d'Italia dagli attacchi nemici, ma mai utilizzato allo scopo e quindi è stato abbandonato.
C'è una vista mozzafiato, da dove si vede tutto lo stretto di Messina.
Merita già solo per questo
A site that has an interest in re-evaluated. Built to defend the newborn kingdom of Italy from enemy attacks, but never used for the purpose and therefore it was abandoned.
There is a breathtaking view, from where you can see the whole Strait of Messina.
Already deserves for this alone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il forte è molto bello, con il restauro di qualche anno fa speravo in un recupero duraturo e invece.... le solite cose alla messinese, un punto ristoro inutilizzato, pedane e teatro all'aperto in legno ma ovviamente zero manutenzione e quindi con il tempo il legno lasciato alle intemperie è marcito, adesso buona parte del forte è inaccessibile perché pericolante, si poteva darlo in gestione per eventi, feste matrimoni mostre fiere e chissà quante altre cose e invece..... che peccato, un vero spreco
The fort is very beautiful, with the restoration a few years ago I was hoping for a lasting recovery and instead .... the usual Messina-style things, an unused refreshment point, platforms and open-air theater in wood but obviously zero maintenance and therefore with the time the wood left to the elements has rotted, now a large part of the fort is inaccessible because it is unsafe, it could be managed for events, parties, weddings, exhibitions, fairs and who knows how many other things and instead ..... what a pity, a real waste
