La caratteristica principale è costituita dalle pareti verticali scoscese, lungo le quali permangono ancora oggi e chiaramente visibili, i segni lasciati dall'acqua. Quest'ultimi hanno modellato in maniera spettacolare la composizione sedimentaria con cui è costituito l'intero ambiente. Possenti blocchi, composti da agglomerati di ciottoli e materiale sedimentario compattati tra loro a formare una amalgama di elevata durezza e coesione, hanno disegnato col passare dei secoli e sotto l'azione dell'acqua, anse e sporgenti rilievi. Questi, simili a pinnacoli, si sono sviluppati in orizzontale su entrambi i lati delle pareti verticali. L'ambiente è quasi unico nel suo genere, come pure la particolare composizione geologica che lo caratterizza. Merita una visita, ma con le dovute attenzioni da parte di chi vuole effettuarne l'esplorazione. Unica, ma rilevante nota dolente, è la presenza di grosse quantità di rifiuti solidi urbani. Una mano criminale vi ha gettato dentro anche un certo numero di grossi copertoni appartenuti ad un trattore agricolo. Tali, nel corso delle piene, si sono sparsi e purtroppo sono andati ad incagliarsi lungo i punti più belli e suggestivi della forra. Un vero peccato... Enchanting place. These, similar to pinnacles, developed horizontally on both sides of the vertical walls. The environment is almost unique in its kind, as well as the particular geological composition that characterizes it. It is worth a visit, but with due attention from those who want to explore it. The only but significant sore point is the presence of large quantities of municipal solid waste. A criminal hand also threw a number of large tires that belonged to a farm tractor into it. These, during the floods, scattered and unfortunately ran aground along the most beautiful and evocative points of the gorge. Such a pity...
