Abbiamo ripercorso con Nick Altieri ed Andrea De Palma la storia dei vini Fontefico dai vigneti alle cantine arrivando al calice con LA CANAGLIA 2019, FOSSIMATTO 2019, COCCA DI CASA 2017 e COSTETOSTE 2012. Mentre le foglie di vite ci hanno offerto le calde nuances autunnali mai uguali tra di loro, la tavola ci ha nutrito con l'Abruzzo della pizza di grandinie, della golosissima ventricina arrosto e poi della chitarrina al sugo di agnello di Palata. Abbiamo chiuso con un accattivante dolce al cioccolato e una crostata con la marmellata d'uva e una pastafrolla dal sentore di limone. Una tappa da ripetere per scoprire e gustare ancora tanto altro. In the Fontefico cellars, the mountains and the sea kiss each other, giving rise to scents that tell the palate of the hard and persevering work of the Altieri family. We retraced with Nick Altieri and Andrea De Palma the history of Fontefico wines from the vineyards to the cellars, arriving at the glass with LA CANAGLIA 2019, FOSSIMATTO 2019, COCCA DI CASA 2017 and COSTETOSTE 2012. While the vine leaves offered us the warm autumn nuances that were never the same, the table fed us with the Abruzzo of hail pizza, the delicious roast ventricina and then the chitarrina with lamb sauce from Palata. We ended with a captivating chocolate dessert and a tart with grape jam and a shortcrust pastry with a hint of lemon. A stage to be repeated to discover and enjoy much more.

La quinta l'ho tolta per la sorprendente politica al rialzo dei prezzi verificata acquistando nel 2022. Ritengo che non favorirà tutto il recupero fatto da questa meravigliosa vite. Peccato. It had 5 ⭐ until 2019 which I confirm for the unchanged quality of the surprising pecorino. I removed the fifth due to the surprising price increase policy verified by buying in 2022. I believe that it will not favor all the recovery made by this wonderful vine. Pity.

Besides the wonderful location (between the sea and the mountains), they also share all their knowledge of the region and culture. And of course not to forget: amazing wines and hospitality!!! Would definitely suggest to go their for lunch and wine tasting :)
