★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumentale fontana, chiamata "fontana di Rosia o rosella", appartenente alla vecchia città di Seminara. Si hanno accenni indiretti di questa fontana già nel 1586. Distrutta nel terremoto del 1783. Fu ripristinata in parte qualche anno fa. Posta sulla via regia, cioè l'attuale strada che porta verso palmi.
L'importanza di questa fontana per i seminaresi nel contesto socio-culturale era rilevante già in tempi non recenti, tant'è che durante il progetto di ricostruzione di Seminara del 1783, quando fu deciso il trasferimento del centro più a valle, si penso di spostare la fontana, mantenendo sempre l'originaria collocazione, ai margini del tessuto urbano.
La fontana 4*7m presenta alcuni affreschi come il blasone di Filippo V di Spagna (primi anni del 1700).
Si può vedere anche un affresco raffigurante due santi probabilmente S.Elia il giovane e San Filarete.
Monumental fountain, called "fountain of Rosia or rosella", belonging to the old city of Seminara. There are indirect references to this fountain as early as 1586. The importance of this fountain for the seminarians in the socio-cultural context was already relevant in not recent times, so much so that during the reconstruction project of Seminara in 1783, when it was decided to move the center further downstream, it is thought to move the fountain, always maintaining its original location, on the edge of the urban fabric.
The 4 * 7m fountain features some frescoes such as the coat of arms of Philip V of Spain (early 1700s).
You can also see a fresco depicting two saints, probably S. Elia the younger and San Filarete.
