★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poco pratica per bere, ma pezzo artistico di grande pregio. Acqua sempre fredda e particolarmente buona. Una volta si diceva "vado a pomiciare con il leone" per dire di andare a bere, proprio perché il getto d'acqua esce proprio dalla bocca dei due leoni. Nel pieno centro di Tivoli, un'obbiettivo da non mancare.
Not very practical for drinking, but an artistic piece of great value. Always cold and particularly good water. Once it was said "I'm going to make out with the lion" to say to go to drink, just because the jet of water comes out of the mouth of the two lions. In the center of Tivoli, a goal not to be missed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al centro di Tivoli, nei pressi della chiesa di San Biagio, c'è una bella fontana rivestita in travertino nel 1941 e detta "dei leoni". L'acqua che fuoriesce da bocche leonine si raccoglie in una vasca che riporta al centro lo stemma della città. In alto ai lati vi sono due iscrizioni in latino.
L'iscrizione di sinistra riporta che Antonio Boccaccini, molto esperto di medicina, al fine di salvaguardare la salute dei tiburtini provvide al miglioramento delle acque e Antonio Sestili, suo erede, restituì all'uso pubblico, nel 1818, l'acquedotto Rivellese.
L'iscrizione a destra, invece, riporta che, nel 1820, il senato assieme al popolo di Tivoli si impegnò affinché la saluberrima acqua Rivellese, donata dalla famiglia Croce, fosse distribuita nei quattro regioni della città, utilizzando un lascito di Antonio Boccaccini.
In the center of Tivoli, near the church of San Biagio, there is a beautiful fountain covered in travertine in 1941 and called "dei leoni". The water that comes out of lion's mouths collects in a tank that brings the city's emblem back to the center. At the top of the sides there are two Latin inscriptions.
The inscription on the left shows that Antonio Boccaccini, a very expert in medicine, in order to safeguard the health of the Tiburtini, provided for the improvement of the waters and Antonio Sestili, his heir, returned the Rivellese aqueduct to public use in 1818.
The inscription on the right, however, reports that, in 1820, the Senate together with the people of Tivoli worked to ensure that the healthy Rivellese water, donated by the Croce family, was distributed in the four regions of the city, using a legacy from Antonio Boccaccini.
