β β β β β Attesa lunghissima nonostante ci fosse solo un tavolo da due persone prima di noi. Piatti e posate in plastica, pastasciutta scotta e prezzo un po' salato.
Long wait even though there was only a table for two before us. Plastic plates and cutlery, overcooked pasta and a little salty price.

β β β β β Luogo meraviglioso! Situato nel centro storico di Paola,a due passi dalle principali attrazioni storico-culturali della cittΓ . Ci siamo fermati con l'dea di mangiare un panino, abbiamo finito per ordinare un piatto di salumi tipici davvero buoni. Su suggerimento del proprietario ho provato anche il formaggio alla piastra con miele e pere... A dir poco spettacolare! I proprietari piΓΉ che gentili, quasi genitoriali, ci hanno trattato come fossimo di famiglia. Voto 10!
Wonderful place! Located in the historic center of Paola, a stone's throw from the main historical and cultural attractions of the city. We stopped with the idea of ββeating a sandwich, we ended up ordering a plate of really good typical cold cuts. At the suggestion of the owner I also tried the grilled cheese with honey and pears ... nothing short of spectacular! The owners, more than kind, almost parental, treated us as if we were family. Vote 10!

β β β β β Ho mangiato un piatto semplice della tradizione contadina,, ma Γ¨ stata una delle cose piΓΉ buone che abbia mangiato in Calabria, terra che frequento da oltre trent'anni.
Insalata Calabrese: Pomodoro cuore di bue, cipolla fresca di Tropea, olive schiacciate, capperi dissalati, mix di peperoncino verde e rosso, sale, olio evo, fresella a pezzi.
Le mie figlie hanno invece preso un panino piastrato simile ad una schiaccia toscana, farcito con soppressata calabrese, nduja, ed un formaggio locale. Delizioso.
Prezzi meno di quanto mi aspettavo.

I ate a simple dish of the peasant tradition, but it was one of the best things I ate in Calabria, a land that I have frequented for over thirty years.
Calabrese salad: Ox heart tomato, fresh Tropea onion, crushed olives, desalted capers, mix of green and red chilli, salt, extra virgin olive oil, freshly cut pieces.
My daughters instead took a plate sandwich similar to a Tuscan flatbread, stuffed with Calabrian soppressata, nduja, and a local cheese. Delightful.
Prices less than I expected.

β β β β β Wonderful meal and service. Best food we had in Italy. Hosts were amazing and very friendly. We had the fish and lamb and it was perfecto. Also a good shop selling gaumet meat, cheese and goodies. Would recommend not missing this little gem.

β β β β β One of very few places to eat for a late lunch when most establishments are closed between 1-4pm! The patio/deck was lovely-eating al fresco overlooking the town square of the old town. The pasta dishes were excellent and tasted like an Italian nonna made them (which is a high compliment!!) The owners were pleasant and their daughter was so sweet. She speaks good English (and is eager to speak it in order to practice more). The store inside is packed full of specialty items which I was tempted to by one of each! Thank you for the wonderful experience
