One of my favorite places! In summer for sunbathing or swimming, in winter for walks

A shame all abandoned and no maintenance, with all the foresters we have, then if disasters occur in full, there are still trees uprooted from the river last year, a disgrace

Unfortunately there is no longer access to the shore, so once you reach the end of the small path, all you have to do is admire the rushing river and ascend!

Before starting to describe this place, everyone knows that this river is considered "Sacred to the Fatherland ",for the long fights during the first world war, bringing victory to our soldiers. The Piave was born on the slopes of Monte Peralba -BL at an altitude of 2.037 me this river is also known for the turbulence of its waters and path. At the time of the Romans it flowed north of today 'Venetian lagoon. In 1680, a further cut was mode even further north .During the first world war, the southern part of the Piave River became a very important strategies line, thus leading the Italian army to victory. I leave historical insights to those who are more competent than me. To day along the two banks of the Piave, paths have been created for those who want to take a walk on foot or by bicycle, thanks to the cycle paths. The landscape that can be admired is truly beautiful. If you are in these area . I recommended you go and admire it; it's worth it.
