★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La presenza di pesce fresco, sia gamberi sia trote di montagna , rende la pescheria all'aperto sull'isola un unicum. Vendono anche filetti di pesce sotto vuoto, con aromi o senza, affumicati, comodissimi da cucinare: basta immergerli in acqua bollente per pochi minuti.
Ci sono anche sughi di pesce in vasetto di vetro per condire paste asciutte o crostini.
Ergo, chiunque, anche i meno esperti, può cucinare del pesce fresco senza difficoltà. I più esperti possono sbizzarrirsi tra granseole, peoci o cozze, crostacei e molto altro.
 The presence of fresh fish, both shrimp and mountain trout, makes the open-air fish market on the island unique. They also sell vacuum-packed fish fillets, with or without flavorings, smoked, very easy to cook: just immerse them in boiling water for a few minutes.
There are also fish sauces in glass jars to season dry pasta or croutons.
Ergo, anyone, even the less experienced, can cook fresh fish without difficulty. The more experienced can indulge themselves among spider crabs, peoci or mussels, crustaceans and much more.

Isolotto sul Cagnan adibito dal 1800 al mercato del pesce, e recentemente ristrutturato.
Il mercato si svolge tutte le mattine dal martedì al sabato, visitatelo.
One of the places in Treviso to visit absolutely.
Islet on the Cagnan used since 1800 for the fish market, and recently renovated.
The market takes place every morning from Tuesday to Saturday, visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'isola della Pescheria di Treviso potrebbe e "dovrebbe" essere un vero gioiello nel cuore di Treviso. Invece accoglie (sotto una carpenteria metallica in totale contrasto con l'ambiente circostante) pochi banchi di rivendita di pesce (vari sono inattivi da tempo immemore), che aprono solo poche ore al mattino lasciando poi tutta l'isola abbandonata, non proprio profumata e talvolta anche sporca, per il resto del giorno. Treviso, i suoi residenti ed i suoi turisti meritano di meglio!
The Isola della Pescheria di Treviso could and "should" be a real jewel in the heart of Treviso. Instead it welcomes (under a metal carpentry in total contrast with the surrounding environment) a few fish resale stalls (several have been inactive since time immemorial), which open only a few hours in the morning then leaving the whole island abandoned, not really fragrant and sometimes even dirty, for the rest of the day. Treviso, its residents and its tourists deserve better!

The back of the stalls along the river were filthy at the time of my visit with polystyrene bits and other plastic trash that will flow into the nearby river.
