Relaxed beach with rather big pebbles and unfortunately quite a lot of broken glass. Tourist boats are driving in and out of the bay all day, and the sun moves away quite early (~3pm) in autumn. Couple of parking lots available at the entrance to the trail, within 30 minutes walking distance. Walking from Sant Agata takes roughly one hour. Lots of steps to get down there, be sure to carry enough water and wear appropriate footwear. Met some people wearing flip-flops on our way down, they didn't seem too happy.

Crapolla is a natural fjord in the area of Torca, a frazione of Massa Lubrense in the province of Naples, Italy. It was once used as a natural port. Nowadays a little fishermen's village can be seen, as well as St. Peter's Chapel (11th century), part of an abbey. Traces of ancient Roman dwellings can be seen in the area.

Great place to visit... Busy day is Sunday when the locals spend the day there. The rest of the week you are likely to have the place to yourself.. tough walk back...

Stunning views, cozy beach. Be ready that the trail may be hard in summer months due to higher temperatures. Hiking in October was comfortable, though

Hiked from Sant'Agata. Bring plenty of water and snacks. This may be one of the most beautiful places I've yet visited. Exhausting, even for me, and I'm in pretty good shape. Don't underestimate this hike!

If you want to go swimming and snorkling while you're in the area of Sorrento (Italy) this is one of the things I can recommend. From Torca or Sant Agatha you can reach a small parking where you can park your scooter or small car and from this point you can start your way down to the little piece of beach (rocks...no sand). You can also start hiking from these villages like I did but then I suggest you start before noon so you're not on the stairs in the hottest part of the day. All you have to do is be prepared to take the path down that exist of 700 steps down and later that day up again. Every 50 steps the stairs are numbered so you can keep count. But the steps are so large it takes two or tree passes to take one. There are almost no places in the shadow so you definitely need a hat and water. Once you reach to bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful piece of nature and a refreshing dip in the sea. In weekends it can be a bit crowded because of local people comming down as well. There is nothing for you to buy from food or drinks down there so be sure to bring you backpack. When you go snorkling make sure you are visible because the great amount of boats that come to take a look inside the little bay or even go for anker for a while.

fantastic place, very enchanting, over 600 and more steps; the beautiful church of San Pietro on the remains of a temple, the cove, set in a very romantic place. Sour note only for the boats, which enter in the cove, get dirty and are dangerous for the local ecosystems.
