FH55 Hotel Villa Fiesole

Nice and clean rooms with a comfy bed and a big shower. Great panoramic view (with great sunsets) over Florence, at least when you cross the street, then the cypress trees don't cover the view. Parking included, which is good if you come by car. Breakfast was great and very delicious! The bus stop to Florence city center is just across the road. A nice hotel for discovering Florence and Tuscany for the first time! Nevertheless, the hotel's restaurant is a bit pricy and I would rather recommend other restaurants in Fiesole for dinner. The pool is a bit small, but okay for refreshing on hot summer days. I would come again. Molto buono, grazie mille!

Stunning rooms, staff that goes out of their way to help you with everything, very good breakfast, breathtaking views on Florence - what else could you wish for :) another cool thing is how close you are to Fiesole and how easy it is to reach Florence.by bus - the stop is right in front of the hotel! The only downsides worth noting: - it's next to a relatively busy road so expect some noise (nothing extreme, occasional car every few minutes) - the pool is tiny (but it's great it's there!)

Other reviewers have mentioned the nice location and the view. And yes it is spectacular. If you have a chance to dine on the terrasse you absolutely should. The view over Florence and the surrounding landscape is spectacular. And best of it the food is very good. Actually I must say one of the best dinners we had the last 10 days travelling through Italy by bike. Everybody working there was really nice. (Of course the rooms are really nice & clean). All together a very pleasant experience and all we can wish for this place is that more travellers will be back soon.

We had lovely stay here. We stayed for 19 days in a deluxe room with half board and the main thing that made our stay special was the nice staff! The staff went out of their way for us. The reception was very friendly and helpful, for example when we needed help buying tickets. Also the cleaning staff was friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The restaurant had a romantic yet informal atmosphere and also there the staff was super friendly, both for breakfast and dinner. The food was great, my favorites being the sformatino, ravioli and tiramisu. The menu was a bit limited to choose from for 19 days but they solved this perfectly. We also felt they served us with a nice personal touch. For example when a nice wine was delivered they recommended this to us based on our picks on the nights before. The location of the hotel is perfect. We used it as a base to discover Florence, tuscany and relax a little by the pool. It's very easy to reach the centre of florence with the bus that stops in front of the hotel. Also all other highlights such as Lucca, Arezzo, Siena and chianti were within 1 hour and 15 minutes drive by car. The room was also good and had all the amenities you need. The bed was comfortable. The room was not super big but in line with the pictures on the website and we had a lovely view. Two downsides: the pool area is big enough if you want to chill in the morning but at the end of the day it might get a little crowded and you might not have a pool bed available. And the parking space was a bit limited. You can park on the hill next to the hotel but for a dutchie like me not used to hills that was a bit uncomfortable. If you are looking to get away from the buzz of the city and for a romantic stay I would highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful surroundings and amazing view. Extremely nice and helpful staff. However, we booked three rooms with a group of friends, we paid the same price and the rooms attributed were clearly not the same. They got large rooms, with a great view. I got a tiny room, with a TV barely the size of a shoebox, a poor Wifi connexion, and a view on the parking lot. The staff gently let me know that no other rooms were available but I still felt slighted. An extra free drink was offered as "compensation".

The welcome was not very warm and damped our joy at this hotel. We were checked in quickly without a special greeting. Since we were on an anniversary tour through Tuscany, I asked the reception manager whether a corresponding package could be booked. His reaction was very harsh and no effort was seen. Then the porter was supposed to bring our luggage into the room, but had difficulties with a bag. He just put that into my wife's hands. Really, aren't people getting trained right here? Or do you have to sign up for the VIP program in order to receive a certain friendliness? The waitresses on the terrace were helpful and catered to the dining requests. The rooms were very clean, unfortunately we could only book a room on the ground floor right next to the street, since everything was apparently already booked. We would have gladly upgraded to a luxury room for the occasion, but as mentioned above, they couldn't make us an offer. It was such a great experience staying here! All of the employees at Villa Fiesole are really attentive, kind, and accommodating (Luciana, Sergio, and the whole team!). They helped us organize an amazing welcome party at their restaurant with great food and drinks. They also helped to coordinate babysitting services, and were always available for us if we needed anything. It was such a memorable stay and will definitely stay here whenever we are back in Fiesole.

This hotel has fantastic staff who make you feel welcome—nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking Florence is a wonderful experience. The in-house restaurant is very good. A 25-minute drive down to Florence, this hotel has the best of both worlds — the calm of Fiesole with its amazing views and easy access to Florence. We had a great stay here.
