Ferrara railway station (Italian: Stazione di Ferrara) is the main station serving the city and comune of Ferrara, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Opened in 1862, it forms part of the Padua–Bologna railway, and is also a terminus of three secondary railways, linking Modena with Ravenna and Rimini,Suzzara, and Codigoro, respectively. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services on the main line, and on the line to Ravenna and Rimini, are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Train services on the other two lines, to Suzzara and Codigoro, are operated byFerrovie Emilia Romagna (FER), which is owned by the region of Emilia-Romagna and most of its provinces.

Dirty toilets. There is only one bar with high prices and an aggressive way of selling you what you do not want. Very hot in summer (no conditioning, except the bar)

Not a safe place. To enter or exit the station you have to pass through a bad comunity buildings and you feel like they are going to steal you or something, then you pass this 100 meters, you begin seeing a normal city

Bathrooms close at 20:30. If you get there afterwards you're out of luck. No open bars nearby. What kind of service is it? Shame!

I was going today to Bolonia with the train nr 6417 at 16:32 from platform nr 6 and they changed that in last second without any Information. I almost went to Venezia. Now i am in nowhere and don't know how to get home. Terrible station.

Ferrara isn't a huge town, so doesn't have a huge station, but everything you need is there - ticket office, loads of self-service ticket machines (including for the Italo operator), a pizzeria, a tobacconist's, a bar plus a small ticket office which sells you tickets for Ferrara town buses. Like all Italian stations, the station is also full of paper lists on display of all arrivals and departures in chronological order, which is incredibly useful.
