The first time, a kindly shop assistant assisted me as I described the items I required for my DIY projects. He took the time to understand my requests and ensured I ended up with the correct items. The customer service experience was fantastic.
Wondering if that was a fluke, I returned a second time for some additional items. This time another shop assistant served me. Needless to say, it was a different experience from the last time. This time, in addition to a few other items I required, I had a picture of the exact product ( an acrylic paint for wood) I wanted, since I’d purchased it a couple of days ago and was pleased with its result. However, because the store packs the products purchased and hands it over in a shopping bag, I didn’t look at the paint tin, especially given that I’d shown the shop assistant a picture, on my cellphone, of exactly what it was that I wanted.
What a surprise as I began to mix my paints to begin my DIY project! The second time, I was sold an OIL BASED PAINT instead of the ACRYLIC PAINT that I’d requested for. Now I've got an opened oil based paint that I didn’t want and can’t be refunded.
Which brings me to refunds. Purchased items can’t be refunded for cash, only for store credit. So be sure of what you purchase unless multiple trips are planned in the future.
