★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the duty free shop at FCO and bought some wine and chocolate. The discount rate was 30% so I decided to buy them. However I got a discount just 20% because I am an airline staff. (Passenger’s discount rate was 30%, and airline staff’s discount rate was 20%)
So I wanted to get them refunded and to buy them as a passenger’s discount rate. But the manager said “ No, we can’t give you a refund. Because you are an airline staff, just get 20% discount, not 30%” That doesn’t make sense at all. After all, I missed the flight because I have to wait their General manager. They have me wait for over 20 minutes to get refunded by their “General Manager” As an airline staff, it was my worst memory that I’ve experienced.
I want to get it corrected if you FCO authorities are successful in the long run.
Teach your staff who are working at the duty free shop. Especially at the “Casa del gusto”
- Act more kindly to your customer. Refunding is not that difficult. Everybody can do it even though you are not a General manager. If passenger wants a refund, do it right away for customer satisfaction.
They make use of passenger’s weak point- passengers don’t have enough time to get on board so make them wait long time until the aircraft close the door. Because they don’t have enough time, they can’t ask the refund so add additional charge to them.
Worst airport I’ve ever met and bad memories to Italia.
If you don’t have enough time, don’t buy anything at the duty free shop. You will be cheated and don’t get refunded at all. You are just a cash user in Italia. You are not valuable customer at all in Italia.
If you want to visit Italai, don’t forget it. Prepare yourself to give money as Italian wants at any time.
