★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo stati alla Fattoria di Corniola al ritorno di un viaggio in Umbria, come punto di appoggio per visitare Pisa, che dista appena una quarantina di minuti.
È una sorpresa, il posto che non ti aspetti, un luogo di pace, tranquillità, con una storia bellissima da farsi raccontare direttamente da Maria Giulia, la proprietaria, se lo vorrà.
Con noi lo ha fatto e questo ha contribuito a rendere ancora più speciale il nostro stare lì, perché ogni stanza, ogni angolo,e molti degli oggetti della villa parlano della storia e delle vicissitudini della famiglia che la abitava .
Questa storia familiare si respira chiaramente e la giovane proprietaria con passione e coraggio ha ridato luce ad una dimora già stupenda, ma purtroppo chiusa da molto tempo.
Le stanze sono ampie e curatissime, ristrutturate con tutte le comodità ma mantenendo per lo più le caratteristiche originarie. La nostra aveva una terrazza incantevole che dava sul bellissimo giardino e quella dei nostri amici, oltre che sul parco, aveva una vista bellissima sulla città di Empoli, in lontananza.
La colazione è ricca e buonissima, resa ancora più piacevole dalla presenza gentile di Maria Giulia e sua mamma che hanno risposto a tutte le nostre domande sulla storia del posto e che hanno cercato di soddisfare le richieste dei nostri bimbi di 8 anni.
Insomma, un luogo magico, consigliato in cui speriamo di tornare!
 We went to the Fattoria di Corniola on the way back from a trip to Umbria, as a base for visiting Pisa, which is just about forty minutes away.
It is a surprise, the place you do not expect, a place of peace, tranquility, with a beautiful story to be told directly by Maria Giulia, the owner, if she wants it.
He did it with us and this helped to make our stay there even more special, because every room, every corner, and many of the objects in the villa speak of the history and vicissitudes of the family who lived there.
This family history is clearly evident and the young owner with passion and courage has given new light to an already stupendous home, but unfortunately closed for a long time.
The rooms are large and well-kept, renovated with all the comforts but mostly maintaining the original characteristics. Ours had a lovely terrace overlooking the beautiful garden and that of our friends, as well as the park, had a beautiful view of the city of Empoli in the distance.
The breakfast is rich and delicious, made even more pleasant by the kind presence of Maria Giulia and her mother who answered all our questions about the history of the place and who tried to satisfy the requests of our 8-year-old children.
In short, a magical place, recommended to which we hope to return!
