T	The Dude on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, but clean and efficient laundry mat in the heart of Trestavere with many food/shopping options nearby while you wait. Washers: 2x small (9km max load) and 2x large (14km max load). 4 & 7 euros respectively. Dryers: 2x 9km max load. 1 euro per 8 minutes. 24 minutes recommended. Washers automatically add detergent so no need to being any - very convenient! Vincenzo (owner) is a very nice man. Highly recommend!

After a week in Rome our clothes very badly needed a washing so this was very welcome. There’s instructions in both Italian and English and the machines are all very easy to use. They take either coin or there is a change machine to break down bigger euros, so convenient! Plus free WiFi, huge plus and outlets if you need to charge your phone/laptop, etc. The machines are all industrial and the medium sized washers (there are two) can fit two baskets worth of clothes while the even bigger washers (also two) can fit up to three! There are two very big dryers. Highly recommend :)

There are two machines, the smaller ones hold 9 kg (19.8 lbs) and the large one holds 14 kg (30.8 lbs). The machines automatically weight your clothes and administer the appropriate amount of detergent and softener, so you don’t have to buy or bring any with you. It’s all included in the price. We did a light and dark load of laundry in the small machines, then dried it all together for a total of 12 euro. It was an easy find through google maps. But didn’t have too many reviews or photos so I tried to be descriptive and take lots of photos! The washers have 3 temperature settings and the dryer does as well. The machines are made in the USA and use American products (advertised on machines). Each load was about 35 minutes but I assume that varies with load size. Google translate is a life saver, but the owner has the instructions printed in English as well as Italian. She stopped in while we were doing our laundry to ask if it was going okay, and if the place was easy to find. She also explained that the dryer goes for 8 minutes for 1 euro, and suggested that we do 24 minutes and the ‘hot,’ setting was very hot! But if the clothes needed additional time to just do it by 1 Erik cycles after the first 3. She was a very kind lady, but I forgot to ask for her name. We are leaving tomorrow but if I stayed here for the next week I would return to use again :) Thank you!
