 Pietro del Morrone (who was elected Pope in 1294 with the name Celestino V) was abbot of this Abbey and after the Great Refusal he asked for help from his brothers of this Abbey even if he was arrested by the soldiers of Bonifacio VIII and locked up in Fiumone.
