★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family often shop here, when on vacation. Large selection of nearly everything. Inhouse butcher, baker, fishcounter, atm and cafe. But why are the checkout conveyor belts 'too short'? A very good supermarket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited whilst in Lucca on business and needed supplies and now I wish all supermarkets in the U.K were like this one. Huge selection of very fresh and local produce, very helpful staff and best of all they were checking the temperatures of everyone entering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite Italian Esselunga. Great prices, great produce, clean, bright and spacey. Has the useful Pronto Spesa" ti scan your items for fast checkout. Why do I like this one so much? It has some amazing local produce, labelled Prodotto Toscano. Today I bought asparagus from Maremma, the best in earth. If you are in Lucca it's worth a visit
