★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good tapas, very reasonable prices. Prosecco was 2,5€. Together we had two sandwiches, two salmon toasts, two tuna balls, a prosecco and a beer for 16,5€ total. Nice, quiet outdoor seating.

You can accompany it with "cicchetto", typical aperitivo made by a slice of bread with something on it (either fish or meat). We were sitting outside enjoying live music

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the pleasure of dining at Macao’s when we stayed in Mestre. The food was declious, the wine superb and the service was excellent. We enjoyed meeting Moiza and Nadir. We appreciate their hospitality in their lovely restaurant. The live music was an added treat. We will visit again one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places in Mestre for cicchetti like in Venice. This is a really cosy place, with an outdoor garden, far from traffic and rumours. A large choice of cicchetti (my fav is the mozzarella in carrozza, a fried mozzarella between two slices of bread, cicchetti with fish or meat)
You can also have dinner, the menu changes quite often, only fresh food.
There's a large selection of wines, the owner and his wife are sommelier so they can help you choosing the best one.
Quite crowded for aperitif but your patience is rewarded by the quality.
In addition the staff speaks English and French

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most wonderful meal I have had in Italy, by far. I cannot recommend this place more highly. The food was delicious, fresh and interesting. Our waitress was extremely attentive and lovely and the venue is very relaxed and fun. A very unexpected find, if I had more time I would return often.
