We absolutely loved this very friendly and personal wine tasting, the couple who owns the enoteca made it very special and one of our best wine tastings in piemonte!
D	Doug Samuel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ran across this wine bar as we walked down the hill to the main piazza of Monforte from our hotel. We were glad we did and the proprietor was a wonderful ambassador and enthusiastic instructor on Piedmont wines. They had a free tasting of 5 wines that were accompanied by explanations. It was truly a treat to hear the owner's stories (he is a pensioner of the same age as the Barolo boys who made this town famous), as he speaks of the wines, winemakers, and vineyards. We found the prices to be the best in town (38 euro for a 2013 Paje from Produttori del Barbaresco!) And bought a bottle from the tasting as well as some other "Langha tipica" products. He also recommended a barolo from Giacomo Fenecchio (Bussia cru) as an up and coming winemaker. We found it on a menu for dinner later that night and we found it a fabulous recommendation. Truly a pleasure to meet and interact with this wonderful man and his shop!
