Giovanni è stato per più di 30 anni prima vigile del fuoco volontario poi capo squadra e anche capo distaccamento del distaccamento vigili del fuoco volontari di Sansepolcro, che si trova a pochi metri dalla cantina; e i pompieri, quando non sono in servizio, apprezzano il buon vino!
