★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È la stazione della metropolitana di Milano più rappresentativa. Impareggiabile l' uscita centrale che conduce nella piazza: salendo gli scalini appaiono le slanciate guglie del Duomo che si stagliano nel cielo fino a comporre la caratteristica facciata che si può ammirare giunti al piano della piazza. Crocevia di scolaresche, turisti, uomini d'affari, viandanti o semplici passanti è verosimilmente la fermata della metropolitana più conosciuta. Sicuramente è anche quella che maggiormente viene chiusa, temporaneamente, per motivi organizzativi e di sicurezza quando la piazza è sede di eventi musicali o aggregativi. Un po' labirintico l' accesso ai binari in quanto si intrecciano la linea rossa con la linea gialla ad altitudini differenti; guardando però i cartelli indicatori esposti si raggiunge la destinazione prescelta senza pericolo di errore. La nota negativa potrebbe essere la scarsa qualità della pulizia ma probabilmente l' elevata affluenza di viaggiatori compromette il risultato finale.
It is the most representative subway station in Milan. The central exit leading to the square is unparalleled: going up the steps, the slender spiers of the Cathedral appear, which stand out against the sky to form the characteristic façade which can be seen on the square. Crossroads of school groups, tourists, businessmen, wayfarers or simple passersby is probably the best known metro stop. It is certainly also the one that is closed the most, temporarily, for organizational and security reasons when the square is home to musical or group events. Access to the tracks is somewhat labyrinthine as the red line and the yellow line are intertwined at different altitudes; however, looking at the signs on display, you reach the destination you have chosen without the risk of error. The negative note could be the poor quality of cleaning but probably the high turnout of travelers compromises the final result.

It’s a problem to buy ticket online, it’s possible only if you have a paypal.
You cannot buy ticket on the tram stop - there are no ticket machine, you can buy it only on metro station.
Inspectors are like a sea calf - if you have no valid ticket, he will wait for you on the next stop and check it when you go out.
Fine = 36,50 €
