★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imponente costruzione storica restaurata, teatro di fatti di sangue tra piemontesi e duosiciliani durante la formazione del regno d'Italia. Le grosse targhe apposte sui muri raccontano pomposamente le vicende secondo la visione dei vincitori (sic!). Sarebbe necessario sapere che tra i cosiddetti briganti (altri li chiamano partigiani o patrioti) vi erano contadini affamati e maltrattati, abitanti anche nella stessa Pietragalla e che sfuggivano ai rastrellamenti e fucilazioni dei piemontesi. La storia è storia e non va rinnegata neanche se violenta.

The large plaques affixed to the walls pompously tell the story according to the vision of the winners (sic!). It would be necessary to know that among the so-called brigands (others call them partisans or patriots) there were hungry and abused peasants, also living in Pietragalla itself and who escaped the roundups and shootings of the Piedmontese. History is history and should not be denied even if it is violent.
