Dispersivo e poco intuitivo per i pazienti, famigliari ed amici. Sembra di fattura abbastanza recente ma se si va nel dettaglio all'interno...mi soffermo sulle porte taglia fuoco. Non mi sembrano manutentate. Sale d'aspetto e sale ricezione pazienti, scomode o lontano da standard europei. Michele Milella, oncologo, meriterebbe probabilmente 6 o 7 stelle, ma il suo pessimo modo di trattare i pazienti (che, gli ricorderei, sono malati e non obbligati a sopportare con pazienza i suoi malumori) rende a volte vano il suo impegno. L'organizzazione poco lineare del sistema day hospital lascia poi, a chi intende nascondersi dietro un dito, ampi spazi per inutili giustificazioni personali. I tempi di attesa per le visite sono disarmanti e a questi spesso si aggiungono interminabili ore per avere i farmaci e quindi poter iniziare la terapia oncologica. C'è molto che non va. Ed è un vero strazio perché tutto è sulle spalle di malati oncologici, spesso terminali. Si perché non sono solo bravi, professionali, competenti...Sono "umani". Si prendono cura di te. In tutti i sensi. Perché loro lo sanno che stai attraversando un periodo particolare....e allora ti chiamano per nome. Non sei un codice. Non sei un protocollo. Martedi scorso ho subito nello stesso intervento una mastectomia con ricostruzione e l'asportazione delle ovaie e il mio ringraziamento va ad ognuno di loro. Al Prof. De Vita, al Dott. Pozzi, alla caposala Tina, a Stefano, Giuseppe, Alessandra e tutti gli altri. Grazie con il cuore. Continuate così. Siete un'isola felice in quello che purtroppo è diventata la sanità pubblica. Un medico, un Uomo, di grande umanità e dolcezza. Lo ringrazio, come ringrazio il Dott. Pozzi che mi ha operata la seconda volta con il Dott. Pelle, tutto lo staff del reparto e tutti gli altri medici che mi seguono I had 2 breast operations in 4 months. I found myself just fine with Dr. Fabio Pelle who operated on me. Oltre ad avere una buona dose di umanità. Nonostante la problematica ha saputo ampiamente rassicurarmi. Voglio inoltre ringraziare tutte le figure professionali del reparto di chirurgia toracica del IFO. Per concludere l'intera struttura è veramente organizzata e pulita. Ho avuto problemi per effettuare ogni tipo di prenotazione perfino quelle intramoenia. Anche oggi 24 agosto sto cercando di disdire una prenotazione intramoenia da almeno 4 ore e non riesco. L'assenza dei volontari (che torneranno il 3 settembre) nei vari reparti si è fatta sentire. Non è possibile che un Ospedale così importante abbia tali problemi di carenza di personale. Nell'ultimo anno però l'oncologia medica B sta veramente scadendo parecchio; intanto non sono più molto aggiornati circa i nuovi protocolli terapeutici che altri istituti oncologici, come per esempio l'IEO di Milano sono in grado di proporre, soprattutto però sta venendo a mancare sempre di più, un aspetto, a mio avviso fondamentale: IL RAPPORTO UMANO. Così come ho avuto occasione di dire direttamente ai medici dell'OMB, il cancro secondo me, non è solo una malattia fisica ma anche, in maniera importante, un male psicologico, in grado di devastare la mente del malato, il quale deve avere la possibilità di parlare con il medico, di essere rassicurato e incoraggiato ad avere fiducia verso percorsi terapeutici molto pesanti e fortemente debilitanti. Il medico sostanzialmente, non può limitarsi ad assegnare la cura, senza dare risposte esaustive alle domande che gli vengono poste; a chi deve rivolgersi il malato quando ha dubbi, disturbi oppure eventi non previsti? Ci è invece capitato di non ottenere alcuna risposta, o di essere addirittura trattati male, spesso negandosi al telefono ma anche attaccandoci irritati il telefono in faccia. Basically, the doctor cannot limit himself to assigning the treatment, without giving exhaustive answers to the questions that are asked; Who should the patient turn to when he has doubts, ailments or unexpected events? Instead, we happened to get no response, or even to be treated badly, often denying ourselves the phone but also irritably sticking the phone in the face. ALL THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
