I can't even begin to put into words how phenomenal, professional, and amazing the team at Distinctive Italy Weddings is!!! From beginning to end Stefania made the entire process seamless and easy! At times I even forgot I was planning a wedding she was that good. Look no further...I would highly recommend Distinctive Italy Weddings to whoever wants to get married in Italy! The wedding was a dream come true and every detail was superb. My husband and I, our family and friends, can't stop raving over how beautiful and perfect the day was. We certainly will never forget it!! We can't thank Stefania enough for making all of our dreams come true.

We highly recommend Distinctive Italy Weddings for your wedding experience! Sarah and her team were second to none in helping plan our big day. Everything went perfectly and our guests have been raving about the wedding ever since our big day! Honestly, if you are planning a wedding abroad an experienced local wedding planner is a MUST! We could not have done it without them. They were very creative, helpful, timely, nice, and had a great attitude. There services were helpful in scouting/finding our venue, coordinating all the vendors and contracts prior to the wedding, as well as helping us on the actual wedding day/welcome dinner!

Sadly, I am a bride who was supposed to get married in Tuscany during the pandemic in October 2020. I live in the United States and hired Distinctive to be a full service planner. We had ample amount of time to discuss what my vision was, we even went to Tuscany to view the hotels. Everything was going great.. and the pandemic hit. I was told by my planner to push back our date not once but twice. I was not aware that I was able to receive my payments back, due to the pandemic - the first time we postponed. The second postponement was even worse. I was told to pay for the wedding upfront and "hope for the best". Who would want to give more money away and not even know if its going to happen? There was so much unknown. There was no sincerity in what was happening to us and our wedding. I did not feel like Distinctive was in our corner and fighting for us during the unpredicted times. During our second postponement the planner we had moved and was no longer with the company, so we had someone else take over. After much consideration, we decided to cancel our wedding. Once we told Distinctive, they immediately took my privileges' away from my website, the planning website where we communicate, and just dropped me. I had to reach out other ways to get communication. I was left feeling like they could not/did not care about us. They only had a few weddings and me being from the US they worried more about the closer weddings knowing those may happen. (Which they even mentioned on a call to me). We had to talk to lawyers about getting payments back from our deposits and so much more - which we did not get back only a credit. This was such an experience I truly wish on no bride, and the pandemic was a tragic time in everyone's lives - it would have been comforting to feel supported, and reassured that we had our planner in our corner. If you are a bride out of Italy, I would just make sure that you have a full understanding of what the planning process is as it is extremely difficult being abroad.

Rosanna and senior planner Stefania were everything you would want in wedding planners—helpful and responsive, and so very pleasant to work with! Our entire experience with Distinctive Italy exceeded our expectations and eased my worries about how difficult it would be to effectively communicate with a wedding planner abroad. Although unfortunately our plans for a destination wedding plans had to be tabled due to family reasons, we were extremely satisfied with their service throughout the multiple video chats and email exchanges. DIW helping us scout possible venues (across 3 different regions) and even assemble a rough estimate for a budget. If you’re thinking of a destination wedding, you can’t go wrong with Distinctive Italy!

Distinctive Italy was so incredible with planning our wedding in Amalfi. We’re from California and I was worried about how planning would go from such a distance, and even more so during COVID times. Rosanna, Stefania, and the whole team were wonderful throughout the whole process – very communicative and full of suggestions and tips to make everything go smoothly. The actual day was so, so beautiful. They talked me down when thunderstorms looked like we would get rained out, tracked down some accessories we thought were lost, and generally just made sure everything went off without a hitch. Absolutely 5 stars across the board - I was worried about doing everything remotely but really couldn't be happier with the outcome. All of their vendors were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things.

Myself and my husband live in London but we always imagined a destination wedding in gorgeous Tuscany after having made so many wonderful memories there together. Even though my husband, James, spoke Italian, it was absolutely the right call to hire DIW as our wedding planners, opting for the full package. Stefania was our planner and she was absolutely brilliant throughout the process. From the beginning she listened carefully to our vision and our preferences and from this, she was able to curate a wedding that exceeded our high expectations -from the perfect venue, to the caterers, to the florist, to the band etc etc! For anyone else who is a control freak (like me), be rest assured that the level of involvement you prefer in your wedding is entirely possible. Stefania did all of the hard work and all we had to do was choose from a few carefully selected vendors who met our budget and other requirements. As a result, the planning process was collaborative, stress-free and so much fun. Without Stefania and DIW's expertise, there is no way we would have had such a positive experience if we had to source and secure vendors ourselves. I would highly recommend using DIW as your wedding planner. Stefania was responsive, trustworthy, efficient and her enthusiasm in helping us create our dream wedding really shone through. Thank you!

Distinctive Italy did a phenomenal job planning our destination wedding and wedding related events in Lake Como! They were very professional and easy to deal with (even though we are located in the US) and did a great job re-planning our wedding twice since we had to push it back two times due the pandemic! Once we were finally able to have our wedding, all of our wedding events were executed perfectly! Everything was done just as we envisioned and it all went super smoothly. I think they are excellent value for money spent and I'd recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Italy!
