Nel parco accanto alla strada provinciale 6 nell'area attrezzata si può anche mangiare all'aperto. Fantastic views, advisable driving routes by jeep or off-road vehicle. In the park next to the provincial road 6 in the equipped area you can also eat outside.

Ho sempre guardato queste montagne alle spalle di San Nicola l'Arena con il desiderio di visitarle sul campo. Poi un giorno mi sono deciso e in bici ho cominciato ad esplorarle. Una vera riserva fortunamente poco conosciuta. Dove regna il silenzio e la natura ha la giusta supremazia sull'uomo. Da esplorare è veramente grande e per veri camminatori. Io sono ancora all'inizio, ma per chi è in cerca di spazi liberi devo dire che è unica nel suo genere. Si può entrare dentro da diversi punti (Altavilla, San Michele Chiesazza e Sperone, più vicino a Ventimiglia di Sicilia con ingresso da vicino l'eremo di San Felice) e la si può attraversare in lungo e in largo fino al lago/baci Rosamarina. Per gli amanti dei tragitti in mtb un luogo perfetto. I've been living nearby for 30 years. As far as I moved (to live in summer and winter) "only" for seven. I have always looked at these mountains behind St. Nicholas the Arena with the desire to visit them on the field. Then one day I decided and on the bike I started exploring them. A true reserve fortunately little known. Where silence reigns and nature has the right supremacy over man. To explore it is really great and for real walkers. I am still at the beginning, but for those in search of free spaces I must say that it is unique in its kind. You can get inside from different points (Altavilla, San Michele Chiesazza and Sperone, closer to Ventimiglia di Sicilia with the San Felice hermitage near by) and you can cross it far and wide to the lake / kisses Rosamarina. For lovers of mountain bike tours a perfect place.

Achtung, nach der Grotte besser wieder zum Ausgangspunkt zurück und den anderen Schildern folgen. Weg hinter der Grotte war (02 2017) nicht ausgeschildert. Absolutely worthwhile hiking destination with a spectacular view. First to the grotto and then back and up to the mountain. Top signposted. Attention, after the grotto better back to the starting point and follow the other signs. Path behind the grotto was (02 2017) not signposted.
