★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decathalon is a modern sports store like REI, but with the advantage of being affordable. I recommend this store for most general sports equipment on the understanding that it is not a specialty or boutique store, so it might be missing those key items you need.
Also to keep in mi d, it is an Italian store, so customer service is very limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can one say in the face of such mediocrity? That the modern condition has so degraded the human animal that they would flock not to the open wild, nor to a beach with waves a-crashing, but to this utterly artificial place to buy utterly useless items made of utterly artificial material, in the hope of thereby gaining some authentic experience? Oh, the irony. I give the soul crushing place five stars because we're all doomed anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Who designed this shopping center? Totally car-centered. Good luck walking or biking into the place, you might get run over by all the unnecessary swerving and bending one way sky-lanes. Just build a simple parking lot for Christ’s sake!

Bike area is space and not yet restocked. I ended up going to a brick specific shop for a new helmet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only store credit for returns, only valid for italian stores. Not good for international people. I ended up buy things I don't really need, and could have gotten cheaper elsewhere. Also wasted an hour trying to find something to buy. Other than that decathlon has decent affordable trekking gear. Not high quality but a good value.
