Tra l'altro per professione avevo dovuto avere a che fare con psicologhe, o pseudo tali, che si sforzavano di dare il meglio di se ma con risultati, agli occhi di uno scettico come me, più o meno disastrosi. Quando mi sono rivolto a Deborak spinto dagli eventi della mia vita, ho subito cercato di provocarla confessando questa mia ritrosìa. Lei non si è scomposta più di tanto così abbiamo iniziato un percorso assieme durante il quale ho scoperto nella dottoressa una capacità di andare a cogliere i particolari andando oltre le mie parole. In breve tempo è riuscita a farmi osservare la mia realtà da un punto di vista che non avrei mai pensato: ho scoperto lati del mio "io" che ignoravo io stesso di possedere e sui quali, ho capito, avrei dovuto intervenire.
