★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poco dopo essermi accomodato davanti alla vasca a vista, come di consueto, mi é stato offerta una bruschettina con hummus di ceci e un bicchiere di ginger.
Ho ordinato uno dei piatti del giorno, trancio di tonno scottato alla griglia con porro croccante accompagnato da una salsa a base di arance e olive. Un abbinamento particolare, stile fusion. La salsa assaggiata insieme al porro croccante, dà un contrasto agrodolce al piatto che mi ha trasportato all'interno di una cucina cinese o giapponese. L'agrodolce abbinato al tonno freschissimo (arrivato ieri in atmosfera protettiva ATM) e appena scottato sulla griglia rende il piatto un' esperienza gustativa interessante. Per contorno ho ordinato un piatto d'insalata a base di lattuga, rucola, pomodorini e cipolla rossa ed insieme mi è stato portato il loro pane "sciapo" home made, leggero e con la crosta bella croccante. A chiudere il pasto mi é stato servito il loro cannolo siciliano, uno dei punti forte di Zí Checco.
Che dire... anche questa volta mi ritengo molto soddisfatto della cena e contento per calorosa accoglienza da parte di Francesco e Anna. Grazie per bella serata e a presto!
 Shortly after taking a seat in front of the open tub, as usual, I was offered a bruschetta with chickpea hummus and a glass of ginger.
I ordered one of the specials of the day, grilled seared tuna steak with crispy leek accompanied by an orange and olive sauce. A particular combination, fusion style. The sauce tasted together with the crispy leek, gives a sweet and sour contrast to the dish that has transported me into a Chinese or Japanese kitchen. The sweet and sour combined with the freshest tuna (arrived yesterday in an ATM protective atmosphere) and just seared on the grill makes the dish an interesting taste experience. As a side dish I ordered a salad dish made with lettuce, rocket, cherry tomatoes and red onion and together I was brought their home made "bland" bread, light and with a nice crunchy crust. To close the meal I was served their Sicilian cannoli, one of Zí Checco's strong points.
What can I say ... once again I feel very satisfied with the dinner and happy for the warm welcome from Francesco and Anna. Thanks for a nice evening and see you soon!

Dopo anni di ricerca ho trovato IL ristorante ad Ostia. Non è sul mare, premetto, ma la qualità di cibo e servizio non te lo faranno rimpiangere. Assolutamente da provare. Uno staff a dir poco eccezionale, gentile accorto e simpatico. Cibo così buono che oltre agli antipasti abbiamo fatto il bis dei primi . Penso che basti questo a convincervi! Ah, e per i più reticenti, ottima selezione di vini che non guasta mai.
SPECTACULAR!
After years of research I found THE restaurant in Ostia. It is not on the sea, I say, but the quality of food and service will not make you regret it. Absolutely to try. An exceptional staff, to say the least, kind, shrewd and nice. Food so good that in addition to the appetizers we made an encore of the first. I think this is enough to convince you! Ah, and for the more reticent, an excellent selection of wines that never hurts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbiamo preso l antipasto special...molto buona la bresaola di tonno ...bilancerei meglio i piatti con la frutta. Più fragole con il tonno e servirebbe una spinta nell' insalata col melone.
Ottima la frittura.
Scelta del dolce sbagliata ho preso una Red Velvet ed era asciuttissima. L ho lasciata.
Buono invece il babà.
Nel complesso buono. La cameriera veloce ed efficiente.
