Very nice place where details are not overlooked (free drinks, cloakroom, room for shoe storage, candies on the tables). Strong point: the perfect floor for dancing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Melegrano ha chiuso i battenti e con esso il nostro mondo e il mondo del tango ha perso irrevocabilmente qualcosa che probabilmente non tornerà presto. Era un'istituzione permanente, un luogo con tanto amore per il tango, per i dettagli e gli uni per gli altri. Gianni ha portato tante idee ed era sempre alla ricerca del cambiamento. Ha usato il tempo del lockdown per implementare nuove idee e per ricostruire il Melegrano e per aprirlo ancora più grandiosamente dopo il lockdown.
La famiglia di Gianni era grande e spero per lui, per noi, che durerà a lungo anche dopo la chiusura dei cancelli.
Speriamo per il futuro ...

Der Melegrano hat seine Pforten geschlossen und damit hat unsere Welt und die Welt des Tangos unwiderruflich etwas verloren, was wohl so schnell nicht wieder kommen wird. Es war eine feste Institution ein Ort mit viel Liebe zum Tango, zum Detail und untereinander. Gianni hat so viele Ideen eingebracht und war immer auf der Suche nach Veränderungen. Die Zeit des Lockdown hat er genutzt um neue Ideen umzusetzen und den Melegrano umzubauen und nach dem Lockdown noch großartiger zu öffnen.
Die Familie von Gianni war groß und ich hoffe für ihn, für uns, daß sie bestehen bleibt, auch lange nachdem die Pforten geschlossen sind.
Laßt uns für die Zukunft hoffen …

The Melegrano has closed its doors and with it our world and the world of tango has irrevocably lost something that will probably not come back anytime soon. It was a permanent institution, a place with a lot of love for tango, for detail and for each other. Gianni brought in so many ideas and was always looking for change. He used the time of the lockdown to implement new ideas and to rebuild the Melegrano and to open it even more grandly after the lockdown.
Gianni's family was big and I hope for him, for us, that it will last long after the gates are closed.
Let's hope for the future ...
