One of the best meals we’ve had in Rome. We were 9 without reservations, but the owner graciously set up a table for us, despite knowing we might eat into their reserved dinner crowd. We did finish our dinner before the crowd arrived. How’s that for great service. Must try their daily menu.

We had a romantic dinner outside, and the experience was just great from start to finish. The people were really observant and happy to please, the food was very different from what we had in Italy before - we thoroughly enjoyed the Roman cuisine! Pricey if you want to go all the way, but very worth it! See pictures for three courses for two, very enjoyable indeed!

I came because of the good ratings - so I feel obliged to correct that a bit: It’s a nice calm, family run place. But the food is actually rather bad: everything was way too salty (and I actually rather tend to eat salty); the fried artichoke, that they advertised as the speciality of the house, are deepfried and mainly contain of batter, no artichoke to be tasted; the zucchini flower with prawn is filled with a lot of peccorino, which completely covers the taste; the seafood pasta has no fresh or even good frozen seafood. Sorry to be so honest - staff was very nice and if you’re not as picky as me with food this is a fine place

Best restaurant I visited in Rome! :) The best pasta - cacio e pepe, carbonara, great tiramisu and really good wine. Everything at reasonable prices. Nice service and great atmosphere! :) We were there on the first day and on the last one, after visiting many other places and Cucina Pepe won!

Absolutely charming and relaxed place. Courteous staff. Delicious pesto pasta and absolutely amazingly fresh 3€ bruschetta. Highly recommended

Dinner here was one of our highlights on our trip to Rome. The service was so friendly and the food fantastic, and great value. The fried artichoke hearts in particular were incredible! Highly recommend

Sunday evening, many of the restaurants around seemed to be closed (according to Google). This place was open however and just a 3 minute walk away from the Generator Hostel. At first they said they didn't have space for me, as all tables were reserved for. Seconds later it became clear that she meant the tables outside; for me as a hungry individual it wasn't a problem to eat inside. So gladly they were happy to serve me after all. I wanted to try the artichokes and they had 2 variations on the menu. I did make a choice, but then they still brought me a mix of both so I could try them both. Super attentive! Then I also wanted to try the amatricana pasta, which was great also. Yes go here, not just on a Sunday but any day of the week. Enjoy!

I don’t know who have anything bad to say about this place. It was awesome. The food was good, the owner was very welcoming (hope his name is Pepe). My server Franco was extremely nice and the other lady server was also caring. It’s my bday night and they even got me a tiramisu cake. It was the best experience I had in Italy.
