La cripta è del secolo XI ed è completamente affrescata con scene della vita di San Gregorio Magno, scene dell'Antico e Nuovo Testamento e un ciclo sulla creazione del mondo. Si può visitare solo per venti minuti, il tempo in cui rimane accesa la luce, e ad orari ben precisi. Il biglietto intero è di 9 euro e comprende la visita del museo e dell'oratorio di Thomas Becket. Not to be missed. The crypt is from the 11th century and is completely frescoed with scenes from the life of St. Gregory the Great, scenes from the Old and New Testament and a cycle on the creation of the world. It can only be visited for twenty minutes, the time in which the light remains on, and at very specific times. Consiglio a chi voglia visitarla, di studiarne almeno un pò la storia ed i contenuti per sfruttare al meglio i 20minuti a vostra disposizione. È comunque un unicum per gli affreschi ed i loro contenuti. La loro bellezza complessiva ha pochi paragoni. I don't think it's possible to be fully prepared for the beauty of this wonder. I recommend to those who want to visit it to study at least a little of its history and contents to make the most of the 20 minutes available to you. However, it is unique for the frescoes and their contents. Their overall beauty has few comparisons.

Si può vedere all'interno del percorso museale della cattedrale pagando un biglietto. Per evitare il deterioramento degli affreschi le luci si accendono con un interruttore a tempo e poi rimangono spente per una ventina di minuti circa. La biglietteria comunica gli orari ai visitatori. A masterpiece of the Middle Ages. Not to be missed in a quick visit to Anagni. It can be seen inside the museum itinerary of the cathedral by paying a ticket. To avoid deterioration of the frescoes, the lights are switched on with a time switch and then remain off for about twenty minutes. The ticket office communicates the times to visitors.

Magari con qualche luce in più e spiegazione delle guide che sono introvabili sicuramente avremmo raggiunto l'apice della gioia. Unica pecca nella cripta i cellulari sono inutilizzabili...non cè segnale...ed il wifi del museo non funziona...per cui l'autoguida è inutile. Forse 9 euro sono troppe. Diciamo che l'ingresso a 5 euro è ben pagato. Comunque da vedere assolutamente. La storia e qui. Beautiful ... to see absolutely ... I recommend booking.
