È una via non molto estesa, ma ampia e movimentata al massimo, e ricchissima di attrazioni turistiche. Sui suoi marciapiedi si suggeriscono, l'una accanto all'altra: Caffettiere, Gelaterie, Trattorie, Ristoranti, Rosticcerie, Paninoteche. Ma anche: Palazzi antichi, Palazzi Storici; Grattacieli, Monumenti, Giardinetti, Viali alberati con panchine. E ancora: nella piazza di questo Corso, avvengono tutte le manifestazioni più importanti quali: Concerti di fine Anno, Cortei, Eventi, Scioperi, e molto altro ancora! E non ultimo, in questo Corso, c'è il famosissimo Teatro Piccinni, dedicato al grande compositore. In anni ormai lontani, questo, era un Corso molto aristocratico: rappresentava il fulcro della città con: eleganti boutique, Bar, Gelaterie, e Pasticceria d'altri tempi! C'era la Motta, con il suo elevatissimo palazzo, illuminato a giorno di sera! C'era Borsalino, rinomato atelier di cappelli, e berretti d'ogni genere! C'era l' Upim, con i suoi piani di esposizione di merci varie, e c'erano pregiate Gioiellerie anche! Oggi, tutte queste attività commerciali, non esistono più, sopraffatte da una Movida, sempre più crescente, e sempre più incalzante, sebbene esso,mantenga inalterato nel tempo, il suo fascino imperioso! Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, is undoubtedly the most important street in Bari, named after the memory of the first king of united Italy! There was the Motta, with its very high building, illuminated in the evening! There was Borsalino, a renowned atelier of hats, and caps of all kinds! There was the Upim, with its plans for displaying various goods, and there were precious jewelers too! Today, all these commercial activities no longer exist, overwhelmed by a Movida, ever more growing, and ever more pressing, although it maintains its imperious charm over time!
