SANT'AGAZIO La caratteristica delle ceramiche prodotte dalla Coop. ceramisti vasai Sant'Agazio è rappresentata dalla continuità tradizionale della "Ceramica ingobbiata e graffita" di Squillace .Nell'attuale produzione il graffito viene lasciato volutamente biancastro in modo tale da far risaltare ancora di più la tipica colorazione rosso mattone assunto dall'argilla dopo la bis-cottatura . Tale produzione viene oggi perpetuata nella bottega , è caratterizzata da due linee produttive ; la prima , detta " Collezione Museo " ripropone in copia i più straordinari reperti in particolare quelli custoditi nei musei di tutto il mondo . La seconda linea produttiva è invece costituita da una più ampia gamma di terrecotte non riproducenti opere originali , ma anch' esse realizzate con le medesime tecniche dell'antichità ; nella seconda linea produttiva si colloca la vasta produzione di ceramiche graffite per uso domestico ( servizi piatti ,centrotavola , stoviglieria in genere ... ) ;la produzione è costantemente rinnovata dalla ricerca di nuovi stili e tecniche , da qui la terza linea produttiva caratterizzata da ceramiche graffite e colorate , anch' esse realizzate con la medesima tecnica di incisione e graffitura ma , la tipica colorazione bianca dell' ingobbio viene colorata o il più delle volte sostituita da ingobbi colorati ; anche questa linea produttiva è costituita da ceramiche d'arredo e da ceramiche per uso domestico . COOP. Sant'Agazio The characteristic of the ceramics produced by Coop. Sant'Agazio pottery ceramists are represented by the traditional continuity of Squillace "Inglobbed and graffito ceramics". In the current production the graffiti is deliberately left whitish in such a way as to bring out even more the typical brick red color assumed by the clay after the bis-cooking. This production is now perpetuated in the workshop, is characterized by two production lines; the first, known as the "Museo Collection", proposes a copy of the most extraordinary finds, especially those held in museums all over the world. The second production line, on the other hand, is made up of a wider range of earthenware not reproducing original works, but they too are made with the same techniques of antiquity; in the second production line there is the vast production of graffite ceramics for domestic use (flat services, centerpieces, tableware in general ...) production is constantly renewed by the search for new styles and techniques, hence the third production line characterized by graphite and colored ceramics, also made with the same technique of engraving and scratching, but the typical white color of the engobe is colored or most often replaced by colored engobes; also this production line is made up of ceramics of furniture and ceramics for domestic use.
