★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il convento nel 1866, con la soppressione degli ordini religiorsi, venne adibito a distretto militare (con ingresso nell’attuale piazza S.Domenico); ma i Frati Predicatori, grazie al confratello Benedetto Tornabene, eressero nel 1904 una nuova ala, dall’altro lato, alle spalle dell’attuale chiesa, che si estende fino ad un paio di metri dalla Villa Bellini.
 The convent in 1866, with the suppression of religious orders, was used as a military district (with entry into the current Piazza S. Domenico); but the Friars Preachers, thanks to his brother Benedetto Tornabene, erected in 1904 a new wing, on the other side, behind the current church, which extends up to a couple of meters from Villa Bellini.
