Il quartiere fu sgomberato nel 1970 per i danni subiti a seguito di una crisi bradisismica , sebbene lo sgombero fosse richiesto anche per le pessime condizioni igieniche che vi albergavano.Ulteriormente danneggiato dal terremoto del 1980 e da una nuova recrudescenza del bradisismo negli anni ottanta , il rione è attualmente in fase di restauro e riqualificazione ed è quindi, chiuso al pubblico,compreso il percorso archeologico sottostante. The * Rione Terra * is an urban agglomeration which constitutes the first residential nucleus of Pozzuoli , in the province of Naples , inhabited since the 2nd century BC It is located on a small hill that allowed to control the arrival of enemies both from the sea and from the land. The neighborhood was cleared in 1970 for damage suffered following a bradyseismic crisis , although the eviction was also requested due to the poor hygienic conditions that housed it. Later damaged by the 1980 earthquake and a new resurgence of bradyseism in the 1980s , the district is currently undergoing restoration and redevelopment and is therefore closed to the public, including the archaeological path below.

Il quartiere fu sgomberato nel 1970 a causa della notizia di una presunta crisi bradisismica, annunciata dai geologi e diffusa attraverso i mezzi di comunicazione. Tra i motivi che indussero il Sindaco e l'amministrazione allo sgombero pare vi fossero anche le pessime condizioni igieniche che vi albergavano. A partire dal 2014 è di nuovo aperto e visitabile. C	Cody Caudill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Massive, historic buildings of Pozzuoli currently under complete renovation. The buildings haven't been occupied in ages. They all sit above the port with spetuclar views. It'd be a dream to live here (pending more earthquakes).
