Ogni volta che ci vado percepisco una veduta più aperta nelle persone e non è male in un contesto così bello. Per i sonninesi e' sempre stato un punto di riferimento per impersonare la gagliardia e la temerarieta' nella salvaguardia del loro paese e del loro proprio territorio. La loro arma preferita era la scaltrezza nel difendere la propria persona e le sue proprie cose con spade e coltelli; ora non piu'in uso. Un paese noto anche per il suo frutto: le sciscelle o solleccole; ma, anche per i fichi secchi. Frutti molto ghiottosi. Si pensi, in tempi di guerra delle donne privernesi portavano mazzetti di broccoletti posti in cesti che si ponevano in capo ed a piedi vuola' sin a Sonnino. Ed in mancanza di soldi e tanta fame, talvolta, barattavano: ogni due mazzetti di broccoletti, un chilogrammo di sciuscelle o di fichi secchi.Frutti meravigliosi e gustosi. Ed in quei tempi di fame anche molto importanti per la sopravvivenza. Sonnino, a town rich in history and fantastic legends. Eppoi c'è vita, buon cibo e, forse, il migliore olio d'oliva. I have no idea who runs this municipality. It is rare to see European funds used for such an effective recovery of the historic center.
