L	Luigi bonanno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mesoraca e' un centro di antichissime origini nei pressi del parco nazionale della sila.Molto interessante e caratteristico il suo centro storico con le sue chiese e palazzi seicenteschi.La chiesa del ritiro con la sua monumentalita' e imponenza architettonica e' l'esempio piu' importante del tardo barocco in Calabria con cupola e volta interamente affrescate,gli altari in marmi intarsiati con i relativi dipinti su tela,sono di un'eccellente fattura.nel centro storico altre chiese interessanti conservano nel loro interno opere di rilievo artistico:chiesa della candelora sec.XVI ,chiesa Dell'Annunziata sec.XVII ,chiesa dell'Immacolata sec.XVIII,chiesa dei cappuccini sec,XVI per finire fuori porta sulla collina di Filippa il maestoso santuario del SS.Ecce Homo uno scrigno di opere d'arte ,molto importante dal punto di vista storico la cosi' detta gloriosa abbazia di Sant'angelo de frigillo di cui si conservano i resti ,inoltre il fiume vergari e' una consolidata meta turistica estiva dove si pratica torrentismo e trekking.Per chi ama l'arte e l'ambiente luogo consigliatissimo. Mesoraca is a center of ancient origins near the sila national park. Its historic center with its seventeenth-century churches and palaces is very interesting and characteristic. The church of the retreat with its monumentality and architectural grandeur is the most important example. important of the late Baroque in Calabria with dome and vault entirely frescoed, the inlaid marble altars with the relative paintings on canvas are of excellent workmanship. in the historic center other interesting churches still preserve works of artistic importance inside: church of the candelora 16th century, church of the Annunciation 17th century, church of the Immaculate Conception 18th century, Capuchin church 16th century to finish outside the door on the hill of Filippa the majestic sanctuary of the Holy Ecce Homo a treasure chest of works of art , very important from the historical point of view the so-called glorious abbey of Sant'angelo de frigillo of which the remains are preserved, also the vergari river is a consolidated summer tourist destination where Canyoning and trekking are practiced here. For those who love art and the environment, this is a highly recommended place.
