★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ITRI in provincia di Latina, ha dato i natali a Michele Pezza detto Fra Diavolo, brigante ed ottimo stratega nella guerra con l'esercito napoleonico.
Piccola e ridente cittadina del basso Lazio è un Comune antifascista ed antinucleare, è situata sull'Appia "Regina Viarum" dell'impero Romano, sono presenti molti siti archeologici risalenti sia alla sua nascita che ai primi insediamenti romani del IV secolo a.c., il Castello medioevale, il centro storico ed il Museo del Brigantaggio sono i suoi gioielli, la festa regina di origini altre è San Giuseppe con i suoi falò che invitano a bruciare l'inverno il 19 marzo e la festa della Madonna della Civita, religiosa, che è la sua padrona.
Ottimo posto da visitare a due passi dal "Mare Nostrum".
Da visitare assolutamente la scoperta archeologica del ritrovamento del Tempio pagano di Ercole risalente al III/IV SECOLO A.C.
